A new telemigration platform says NO to Brain Drain of Tunisian engineers

Telemigration, the ideal digital solution for Tunisian engineers

Since 2011, more than 100,000 multidisciplinary skills (doctors, scientists and above all engineers) have left Tunisia. Particularly detrimental for the country, this brain drain, which will certainly increase in the years to come, is explained by the fact that these graduates and high-level workers go in search of better working conditions, more attractive salaries and also, of greater recognition.

On May 23 2022, Mrs. Nejla BOUDEN, head of the Tunisian government, mentioned this disastrous problem in Davos: “It is not only training that we need as developing countries but it is to retain the skills that we produce which is of crucial importance to us.”  On the other hand, on the other side of the Mediterranean, in France but not only, engineers are seriously lacking on the job market: in the IT field, more than 45,000 positions are not filled, while in large engineering (biochemistry, aeronautics, pharmacy, construction, nuclear, etc.), recruiters have more than 60,000 engineering positions to offer each year (French engineering schools currently train only 40,000 per year).

Generally speaking, companies, for 65% of vacancies, have great difficulty in finding available engineers, which results in a dangerous stagnation of their activities.

Telemigration, the ideal digital solution for Tunisian engineers seeking employment  to definitively counter these employment problems on both sides of the Mediterranean.

A team of talents will launch, by the summer, a digital platform “Moningenieur.express” which will allow the Tunisian engineer, in search of of employment, to telemigrate by teleworking, that is to say that he will be able to work at any time without leaving Tunisia, on a short or long term mission, for French and European companies, with very attractive salaries (thanks to to the wage portage system set up by the platform) and in optimal working conditions.

The contacting process is simple and fast: the job-seeking engineer submits his CV for free, companies also register for free and describe their needs precisely, the platform’s matching algorithms instantly match recruiters’ requests with the appropriate profiles… All that remains is for the platform’s customer service department to put the company and the engineer in touch with each other until the conclusion of the service provision contract.

The recruiting client is billed in euros and the integrated wage portage solution legally allows the engineer to be paid directly in Tunisia, in Tunisian dinars.
The platform is remunerated through a commission received from the recruiter and the engineer.

Moatez Ben Medien, co-founder and CEO, explains that the constitution of a qualitative database of Tunisian engineers, coming from all sectors of activity, will be the first phase of the process: “That is why we invite Tunisian engineers to quickly submit their applications on our platform so that we can build a pool of high-performance resources that matches the needs of French companies.

This initiative remind us of Talenteum Africa , the Pan African Talent Platform for remote workers from Africa.
